1 – Roseanne’s Becky

One television role which seemed to have a revolving door was Becky on hit sitcom Roseanne! The character was originally played by Alicia ‘Lecy’ Goranson from 1988 to 1992. However, when the actress graduated from high school and went on to attend Vasser she was only able to make occasional appearances leading to the storyline that she had eloped with Mark. It wasn’t long before her studies took priority and Sarah Chalke was cast in the role. However, by 1997, Goranson was able to return and Chalke was bumped. Then personal circumstances meant Goranson had to miss some episodes and Chalke returned! Producers never hid the fact and actually poked fun at it!
