President Barack Obama and the Game of Thrones

Is this even legal???

The creators of the wonderful series “Game of Thrones” said that President Barack Obama got early copies of season six but HBO had recently announced that no press copies has been released to avoid leaks or spoilers.

The creators of “Game of Thrones” have revealed that President Barack Obama received advanced access to the hotly anticipated sixth season because you don’t turn down a request from POTUS. This surely shows us how the president has greater authority than us, but nobody can actually blame him since the show actually is very interesting and captivating.

The producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed one of the perks of being president as they spoke the red carpet at the HBO show’s premiere Sunday night. Weiss said: ‘think for both of us — finding out the President wanted advance copies of the episodes — that was an ‘Aha!’ moment as he describes the overwhelming success of the show.

The creators also told interviewer Veronica Belmont that they sent Obama episodes early because he’s the leader of the free world. Benioff even added: “When the commander in chief says, ‘I want to see advanced episodes’ — what are yagonna do?” The two also discussed the upcoming season being the first time we really moved beyond the end point of the books by George R.R. Martin and the freedom that brought to the show’s direction as well.

The President has revealed his fandom before by referring to the show in jokes at the Association dinner of the White House Correspondents last year and even naming his favourite “GOT” character sort of in a GQ interview.

The first four episodes were leaked online last year as the ultra-popular show began its fifth season and HBO announced last month it was not releasing any advance episodes for critics to review ahead of season six to avoid a repeat.

The show ‘Game of Thrones’ is consistently the world’s most-pirated show each year and other attempts to nix the number of illegal downloads around the globe also saw HBO premiere the last season simultaneously in 170 countries. The show returns for everyone else on April 24 and all can’t wait.

Let us go back to the last trailer of GOT that ends with Bran Stark. What people are VERY interested to know about the season six is if Jon Snow really dead or not?

The HBO released a teaser trailer for season 6 of “Game of Thrones” and it has but whetted the appetite of fans. The character of the Three-Eyed Raven played by Max von Sydow can be heard in the latest trailer to say ‘We watch, we listen and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry.’ What follows is plenty of flashbacks including that now famous scene of the death of popular character Snow, portrayed by actor Kit Harrington.

The trailer ends with a flash of the character Bran Stark who is half brother to Snow appearing to go into a trance before he says ‘They have no idea what’s going to happen.’
