Donald Trump calls the Pope disgraceful for questioning his faith

Oh no! This is not right…

Trump responded to the pope’s suggestion about him ‘not a Christian’ because of his plan to build a border wall between the US and Mexico. It was reposted back then that the pope said that a person who thinks only about building walls is not Christian. He said so as he made his way back to Rome from a trip to Mexico. Trump immediately responded swiftly at a campaign event in South Carolina saying that for a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful.

No leader and not even the religious leader have the right to question another man’s religion or faith is what Trump told a packed room at a golf course resort. Trump even said that the Mexican Government is using the pope as their pawn. Trump added that they should be ashamed of themselves especially now that so many lives are involved and illegal immigration is rampant and bad for the United States.

The pope insisted he did not mean to sway any Americans with his comments during his in-flight press conference. He said that as far as what Trump said about whether he would advise to vote or not to vote, he is not going to get involved in that. He only said the this man is not Christian if he has said things like that way and in this I give the benefit of the doubt.

Trump suggested that the leader of the Catholic Church would regret not supporting his candidacy during a press release timed to coincide with his rally. The presidential Candidate said that if and when the Vatican is attacked by Isis which as everyone knows is Isis’s ultimate trophy, the pope can have only wished and prayed that he would have been president because this would surely not have happened. He added that he can eradicate the ISIS unlike the no action politicians that only know what to do is talk. The billionaire presidential candidate said that he did not take the pope’s remarks personally though. He said that the pope said negative things about him because the Mexican government convinced the Pope that he is not a good guy. He can say so because the Mexican government has already made many disparaging remarks about him to the pope because they want to continue ripping us off.

Attendees approached by the Guardian at the Trump rally took the side of the Republican frontrunner after the said event. A Self-described Trump Groupie from South Carolina names Deborah Schwartz made a comment about the Pope being a better person than that.

But the others like Elizabeth Wallschlager, a catholic and Panamanian immigrant simply doubted the pontiff actually used the words he was quoted saying. They can’t believe the Pope really did say that.

If you can remember, Trump also praised the pontiff in the past. Trump actually tweeted that the Pope is a humble man just like himself which probably explains why he likes the Pope so much. The said tweet was not long after Pope Francis was elected to the Holy See in spring 2013.
