Kenny Troutt is the founder of Excel Communications, and before becoming the wealthy man that he is today, he was once struggling financially. He paid for his college education by selling life insurance. In 1988, Kenny founded the phone company Excel Communications and made most of his profit from there, slowly becoming popular by 1996 and in 1998, in a 3.5 Billion dollar deal, Excel merged with Teleglobe.
