The new trailer of Captain America
Are you excited???
Marvel delivered a powerful new Trailer for their upcoming blockbuster sequel Captain America: Civil War yesterday morning and this impending epic sees the beloved Civil War comic storyline adapted for the screen. It is almost a pseudo Avengers film and another milestone/seminal moment for superhero cinema and its fans. Spider-Man or Spidey’s debut of the new trailer would be big enough on its own for a post today but the whole thing is strong enough to warrant a slightly larger read on it all which is what we’ll be doing right now.
It is the right time to start getting excited for Captain America: Civil War in a real big way and it could wind up being something special. The film is the third in the Captain America franchise after Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe picks up following the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Our protectors take up opposing sides when government regulation of superheroes is proposed in the aftermath of a tragedy, as well as dealings with Bucky Barnes or The Winter Soldier played by Sebastian Stan. The opposing regulation is Captain America which is played by Chris Evans while supporting the act is Tony Stark/Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr. All of the Avengers including other heroes take up one side or the other with newcomers including Black Panther and Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Anthony Russo and Joe Russo both directed this movie and the screenplay is by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The cast of this movie includes big shots like Scarlett Johansson who portray the Black widow and many more.
What made fans so interested in this movie is how it’s potentially so many things at once and it’s as close to an extra Avengers film as we can possibly get and not only is it our third Captain America installment while hopefully restoring some goodwill after Avengers: Age of Ultron underwhelmed some folks. We are seeing the introduction of two new major characters in Black Panther and Spider-Man in addition while really building full steam ahead towards the two part Avengers: Infinity War epic that will make the end of this portion of Marvel’s grand plan for their MCU. This will surely be a real treat for everyone if the Captain America: Civil War can be on the quality level of Captain America: The Winter Soldier while being done with the scope seen in The Avengers.
It is obvious that this won’t be the final word that I have on this film and it is still a few months away and a certain Batman v Superman movie is right at our doorstep so one thing at a time but this seems like a bit of a bonus. We are essentially getting a new Captain America flick as well as a bit of Avengers do-over which is pretty cool in a fan’s book.
