1 – Francesco Lentini aka The King

Francesco Lentini was a 3 legged man. Technically he was one of a pair of conjoined twins, but his ‘brother’ only consisted of one leg and a set of genitals! His parents were shocked by his birth defects given he had 12 healthy siblings. Surgery was considered too dangerous, so the parents took him to a children’s institution. However, he saw kids far worse off than he was and so accepted his life as it was. He toured with a number of circuses for more than 4 decades earning himself the nickname The King because he was so respected in the industry.
