Legend has it, that this is the bridge where a woman, during some point in the 1930s, killed her new born baby. Being unmarried, she was afraid of her parents reaction and her reputation if she had let the baby live. Carrying her new born onto the bridge she threw it over the edge to let it drown in the icy waters below. Rumor says that you can still hear the baby’s cry today.
