See the Touching Moment a 4-Year-Old Boy Asks a Mall Santa to Pray with Him for a Sick Newborn He’s Never Even Met

Prayers have the ability to change hearts and even change one’s beliefs…

We see a lot of children nowadays being such precious little angels that seemed to be so innocent, you wouldn’t want them to grow up. And as part of those little angels, one boy went to the Dutch Square Mall in Columbia, South Carolina. And it seems that Prestyn Barnette asked the Mall Santa for something so easy to give, but still so precious. He asked Santa for a prayer for someone that he seems to care for. The boy asked for a prayer for a two-month old boy, Knox Stine, which is fighting for his life as of the moment. But the thing about Prestyn and Knox is that they haven’t even met. Prestyn lives nearby and Knox, is in the Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas. It was crazy, especially when the boy just learned about the other through Facebook with his grandmother. Knox’s family is asking for prayer, on which Prestyn and Santa has willingly given. It seemed that the story of the boy has been ingrained in his mind and was not able to feel better without a prayer. Prestyn’s aunt, Rebekah Sharpe was the one who posted the photo of the two in social media, and they have since garnered a lot of attention.

“I don’t know them,” Mindi Stine, Knox’s mother told TODAY.com. “I don’t know how they know of us or heard of us or anything, but I recognized their names, and I knew that they had said that they were praying for baby Knox, and for a miracle for us … I showed my husband [the photo], and we both just smiled at each other, like, ‘Something amazing is happening.’ It was just beautiful.”

Children’s pure heart will never be able to be as innocent and pure as ours. Knowledge has the ability to destroy one’s mind and it’s the one that is responsible for most things evil. And what Prestyn did was not just adorable, but heart-warming. We are sure that what he did gave the family hope that someone, far away from them, care enough to pray. Even when they already know that, knowing that a fellowman is supporting baby Knox is enough to give them courage. It was too bad that baby Knox was hospitalized in November 30 when Carl Stine, his father saw him unresponsive and is unable to breathe while they were in their home in Kingman, Arizona. The hospital doctors declared Knox as brain dead and the only thing that can save him is life support, or tracheotomy surgery. It was so bad that the doctors even suggested to also taking off his support.

“I prayed afterward for wisdom, and searched through the scriptures in our Bible and we knew that God wanted us to choose life for Knox and go forward with [tracheotomy] surgery.” And after the photo has gone viral, the family’s GoFundMe page has received an amount of more than $17,000. And it seemed that with a little prayer coming from a little boy, the world will be merging to help one helpless boy.
